Strength Coach London
Over 15 years of training beginners, late starters and athletes to become the best versions of themselves.
Hi, my name is Dan,Welcome to Strength Coach London,I am a personal trainer and strength coach based at the world famous Commando Temple in Deptford, where I have been working with a wide range of clients since moving to London from Cambridge in 2017.The equipment we have available is the most diverse of any gym you are going to find yourself in, from Strongman training, powerlifting and general strength training, to more unique tools like Bulgarian bags, Persian meels and maces, training here is fun and challenging.As someone with decades of experience, I have expertise in the following.1, Personal training
I provide personal training for people of all ages and abilities, so whether you are in your 20s or your 70s, strength training is the best investment they can make to increase longevity and stay fitter and stronger as you get older. I will take all the stress and guess work away from you so you can focus on training and getting results.If you are a complete beginner to the gym, or have taken the first steps, but find yourself somewhat lost as to how best achieve your goals. With clear, concise planning and a focus on great technique, you will learn more in a short time under my guidance than you could if you were to try to figure things out on your own.I will teach you how to train, plan your sessions and your nutrition so that should the time come, you can confidently structure your training and nutrition without my help.
2, Technical analysis and corrective programming,
If you are struggling to improve a specific lift. I will break down what is going wrong, assess which areas are weak and give you the tools to fix it.3, Training people in their 40s or older,
As we get older, unless we maintain a decent level of activity and strength, the following issues can come up for males
A year on year reduction of testosterone leading to;
Loss of libido,
Poor sleep quality,
An increase in bodyfat (particularly around the waist),
Loss of bone density, strength and muscle mass
Increase in the stress hormone cortisol,
And for females, the effects of getting older and being inactive can include;
Muscle loss, this accelerates, causing a reduction in strength,
Decreased bone density due to accelerated bone mineral loss, particularly during perimenopause and menopause,
An increase in blood pressure and serum cholesterol, increasing the risk of stroke and heart disease,
Lower insulin sensitivity which can lead to weight gain and type II diabetes
Lower endorphin levels due to hormonal shifts and potentially higher levels of anxiety
Starting training in your 40s, 50s or even later will help you enormously, by improving muscle mass, bone density, hormone levels and much more, so if you find yourself feeling low on energy, suffering from stress and a lack of sleep. Strength training could be the very thing you need to do to improve your quality of life and your longevity.
4, Gaining muscle/ improving body composition.
With the right plan, tailored to your goals, training and injury history, lifestyle and time constraints, I can help you change your physique and increase your confidence, whether that be through gaining muscle, losing fat or both.
